In response to social negativity involving our CW talent, we developed a campaign to counter that social negativity with values of openness. In challenging the status quo, we used We Defy as a cry for action and unity. We Defy became yet another statement from our Network and Talent with acknowledged, stated basic values. This statement became a message from our Network to our viewers.
